How to achieve anything you want! The 15-step guide to success.

Read the 15-step guide to implement a growth mind-set approach to life. 

  1. Reach for the sky: Pick extraordinary high goals and let your brain figure out a way to get there. You’ll see that you will rise to the occasion.

  2. Visualise where you want to be: Reframe your subconscious patterns and get bold insights about your inner desire. Develop a personal vision and adopt a growth mind-set.

  3. Adopt lateral thinking: Learn and work in counter-intuitive environments. Bring randomness into your life. Your brain will be able to make unique lateral connections.

  4. Take control: Focus on results as much as on processes. It’s a powerful combination which will allow your brain to come up with practical solutions in almost any situation.

  5. Free yourself from mental boundaries: Ignore what your peers or others are doing. Be only bound by your own personal vision and allow it to set the bar for your goals and achievements. Free spirits set the bar. Set the bar.

  6. Play on your strengths, outsource your weaknesses: It’s best to focus on your personal strengths. Take time to get to know yourself, it’s key to success. You already are a unique proposition – find out what it is and leverage it.

  7. Over learn, over prepare. Take no shortcuts: Every minute you spend on developing a skill or learning about a subject will eventually pay off. A well-prepared and laterally developed brain will be able to react faster and leverage all resources in an unknown situation.

  8. Work hard and be humble: Be prepared to do more of something so you get the chance to become insanely good at it. In practice that means, you might decide to start with a lower fee until you are so good at something that you get paid 5x a premium for your skills or services.

  9. Focus, Focus, Focus: Have 3 priorities max. Learn how to say ‘no’ and surround yourself with a partner that accepts, cherishes and supports your personal choices in life.

  10. Baby steps are okay: Heighten your expectations what you can accomplish and take many tiny continuous steps towards achieving your goals. A mountain is nothing else than many small hills attached to one another. Never fear the mountain, cherish the hills.

  11. Allow yourself to grow: Free yourself from limiting beliefs; that includes people who don’t support your personal growth ambitions.

  12. Believe in yourself: Allow yourself to become the person you want to be. It’s a mind-set shift first, the rest will come.

  13. The rule of average:

    Be selective with whom you spend time with. We all become the average of the 5 people we spend most time with. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room. Surround yourself with people with ambitions and high expectations – it will inspire you and helps you reaching your personal goals.

  14. Be prepared to suffer: Change is not easy and it comes with many personal sacrifices and pains. Realise that change is positive and will offer you new opportunities along the way.

  15. Pay forward: Foster positive karma wherever you are, with whoever you interact. Realise we are all equal. Be prepared to pay forward and support others along the way, pay credit to the people that support you.
